Winberry was an Aboriginal man living around Melbourne at the time of Melbourne’s invasion.
Known since:
He was first seen on 19 December 2009 in the area he still lives today.

How often seen:
Winberry is one of our most frequently-seen koalas. He was seen on 54 research days in 2017. In 2018 he has been seen over 65 times.
Family:
As dominant male in a region with many breeding females, Winberry has a lot of offspring! Winberry is (probably) father to Ngardang’s daughter Lakorra (b. 2017), Mara’s son Bo (b. 2016) and new joey Pickle (b. 2018), Wemba’s son Wemberi (b. 2016), joey Burdungul (b.2017) and new joey Djaki (b. 2018); Djadja’s son Beanie (b. 2017) and others.
Neighbours:
Winberry shares his home range with females Mara, Djadja and Wemba. His rival Clancy is the nearest resident male. Male Bungaleenee lives to the south-west.
